“Apple Not Educated About HTML5, Misguiding Users” – Claim Opera & Mozilla

Apple had recently launched its HTML5 showcase , touting how the world didn’t need flash anymore.  The first backfire was when users complained that they could not see anything, using other standard browsers. Apple seems to block all other browsers using browser sniffing. But the best part came when Haavard Moen, a software engineer from rival browser maker Opera,  stated the following fact.

“Let’s not try to promote HTML5 by making it a walled garden, and let’s not reduce HTML5 to a meaningless buzzword”

He made it clear that Apple has no idea of what HTML5 is all about. Apple has been using css3 and some funky javascript, to delude users from what HTML5 truly is. Mozilla’s Christopher Blizzard weighed in to say that:

“It’s not intellectually honest at all.”

“The most important aspect of HTML5 isn’t the new stuff like video and canvas (which Safari and Firefox have both been shipping for years) it’s actually the honest-to-god promise of interoperability” – He further added.

It is getting absolutely clear that, in the rage of  fighting off Adobe Flash, Apple has forgotten the basic definition of the  Open Web. If this was not shameful enough, another famous quote by Apple’s CEO comes to focus:

“Want Porn? Buy an Android Phone”

The fact following the above quote is that, when you  google for iphone + porn , you will find out the truth. Via newteevee.comindustry.bnet.com and pcmag.com you can see whats going on backstage. Looks like people have been taken for a ride here too.

And the bare fact is that the HTML5 revolution will help the Porn industry mobilize better. And the first of mobile consumer seems to be none other than iPad !! As the site erictric.com reports.. YouPorn is already there.

Welcome to our iPad site. We are now re-encoding our video archive to make all our videos iPad compatible. Please send us feedback.” – This is what iPad users will see on their device.
