The war between adobe and apple has been waging for quiet some time now. Even if now its passive, the fact that fact that Adobe defeated Apple defeated, is a clear conclusion with proofs to back it up. In the beginning when Steve jobs wrote his open letter stating that flash was a out dated technology and that it could not be suitable for mobile devices, it was evident that Apple saw Adobe’ flash technology as a threat to its own app ecosystem. After many attempts of using html5 as a backup to beat flash and protect their ecosystem, Adobe flash has proven its worth in the mobile ecosystem. (more…)
Adobe flash player seems to be gaining some heavy momentum in android market place. In a matter of 4 days the ranking of flash player 11 has crossed over from #168 to #81 this morning to #25 at the time of writing this article from my HTC sensation.
It is now quiet clearly visible that apple had a deep fear of flash ruining its revenue if it was allowed on ios. Despite of bad names such as resource hog etc, flash is showing clear dominance in the mobile world.
Samsung and HTC both have low range devices like HTC explorer and Samsung galaxy mini 2, which even though are not Adobe certified, but can still run flash and air flawlessly out of the box.

I just happen to stumble across this totally amazing site Open Plug.com. The totally absurd but valid question to ask was…if these guys have done so much in little time, what about Adobe ??. Should we have already seen adobe implement this for its developers ?. Open plug’s solution is the more smarter one, on the mobile platform than what most of us will expect. Its not delivering swf on for the devices, and No! there is no flash player needed to run the code generated either. (more…)
