Build Complex Interactions In Flash Lite
Many underestimate the capability of Flash Lite, when it comes to handling complex interactions and providing user friendly interfaces compared to desktop versions of the plugin. In this walk-through we will look at a typical widget-based interaction, which lets you perform multiple actions from a single UI. Before we proceed, we will cite our output so that you can have a glance of what level of complexity we shall handle.
To get started you will need the Sony Ericsson’s component set. If you haven’t already got it, you can download it here: Sony Ericsson components for flash lite.
You can then follow The previous article for setup instructions on installing the component set in your Flash IDE.
Once you have installed the .mxp package you are ready to start !
Step 1: Open Device central and select to create a Flash type document.

Step 2: Select a generic Flash Lite document template to start with. for our walk-through we will select the following settings:
- Device : Flash Lite 2.0 32 240 x 320
- Player version : Flash Lite 2.0
- ActionScript version: ActionScript 2.0
- Content Type : Standalone Player
